New Jersey Green Association Selects
Green Business Bureau as Third-Party Certification Partner

The New Jersey Green Association, a non-profit membership organization dedicated to furthering corporate environmental stewardship, has partnered with the Green Business Bureau to offer its members a trusted third-party green business certification.

July 26 2011 HOUSTON - The New Jersey Green Association (NJGA) brings together businesses from across the Garden State to promote the preservation of New Jersey’s environment through comprehensive education and training on current environmental issues. The organization recently increased its commitment to helping its members meet their environmental goals by partnering with the Green Business Bureau (GBB), one of America’s leading green business certification programs.

"The NJGA’s go-green initiative promotes corporate sustainability through the use of environmentally-friendly processes, materials, and designs," says Allan Fliss, NJGA's Executive. "The GBB’s comprehensive green certification program helps us further the initiative by giving our member businesses the tools they need to implement those processes and materials in their everyday operations. And, it enables us to offer the tools to eliminate much of the ‘green washing’ effect that has recently plagued the green movement."

Under the new partnership agreement, the GBB will offer its industry-leading online platform and onsite, third-party auditing to members of the NJGA. The combination of cutting-edge technology and independent verification gives NJGA members access to a robust certification from a leader in the green business space, as well as a trusted eco-label that will help them attract green customers and their business.

"We’re excited to be partnering with an organization that is making such a profound impact on an entire state’s environmental well-being," says Marcos Cordero, GBB’s CEO and Co-founder. "We believe that the combination of the NJGA’s go-green initiative and educational efforts, along with the tools offered by the GBB, will bring member businesses unparalleled resources in achieving their sustainability goals."

About the NJGA:

Founded in 2009, New Jersey Green Association (NJGA) is the statewide green business community operating to help preserve New Jersey’s environment. NJGA provides its members with education, research and communications services that support the go-green initiative. The go-green initiative is a movement to protect, preserve and sustain our environment through the use of environmentally friendly processes, materials, and designs. Operating much like a green chamber of commerce, members are able to share information and given education opportunities to assist in developing a greener approach to their daily activities. Whether it is a seminar discussing the financing of your green initiative and how to save your business money, or a webinar discussing green construction concepts and their benefits, the NJGA is here to make a difference.
